Congratulations to the Racer X team! 

 

Eleven swimmers embarked on the journey, and each swimmer achieved at least two personal best times.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Achievements include: 

• One Junior National Cut by Ava Jochims in the 500 Free (4:50.41).

 

 

 

Four Racer X records were broken:

• Ava Jochims set new records in the 500 Free (4:50.41), 200 Fly (2:03.22), and 400 IM (4:21.85). 

• Caden Zhao set a record in the 200 Breast (2:12.35).

 

Podium Finishes:

 

10-Year-Old Category:

• Jayden Zhao: 5th Place 

 

11-Year-Old Category:

• Ian Brenenborg: 1st Place

• Luke Wilson: 3rd Place 

• Charlie Lange: 12th Place 

 

13-Year-Old Category:

• Ellie Lange: 1st Place 

• Whitney Calhoun: 3rd Place

• Elyse Brenenborg: 7th Place 

 

14-Year-Old Category:

• Ava Jochims: 1st Place

• Caden Zhao: 6th Place 

 

Team Highlights:

• Top 6 Overall Team Ranking.  

• Swimmers with 5 out of 5 BEST TIMES:

     • Ashley Brenenborg, Ian Brenenborg, Rachael Bummer , Rylan Endress, Luke Wilson

 

• Caden Zhao achieved 6 out of 6 BEST TIMES.

 

 

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for braving the six-hour drive through fog and rain to support the swimmers. The journey was reminiscent of a theme from an Edgar Allan Poe poem.

 

Note: There will be no swim practice tonight due to the high school home dual meet.
