"In 2000 my mom read that less than 1/2 of 1 percent of swimmers in the U.S. makes it to the Olympic Trials. I remember really thinking about that and what a small number of people that really is. I try to remember that now when I think of Trials. It really is a big deal to be there. It really is an honor just to compete."
