The Meet has been canceled

Jim Skirboll
Good Morning, All,

After several discussions with the Facility Director this morning, the decision has been made to cancel the last day of the meet. The Winter Weather advisory has been extended to 1 pm and roads are simply not treated. Part of the decision was based on the thought that while some of us would have made it to the building, the facility would have been short staffed and we would likely not have had enough officials or meet volunteers to run the meet. Finally, we do not want people taking unnecessary risks to get to the pool.

I understand that almost everyone left their team banners (etc) at the pool last night. We can mail these back to you, if you leave town prior to the building being open. The Competitive Director, Ian Moon, did stay at the facility last night and is now stuck there. If you were to be able to get up to the building today, he can let you in. If you choose to do this, please text me at 304-841-4391 and I can let you know when they have plowed a decent path up to the pool.

For those who have submitted their meet fees, your checks will be cashed and we will send a refund for today's events. If the address on the check is not the correct address, please let me know. For those who have not submitted yet, please adjust the total without today's races and send your fees to: Club Mountaineer,  218 Poplar Drive, Morgantown, WV, 26505 at your earliest convenience.

I am so sorry. I wish this was something we had more control over. We are grateful for your attendance at our meet and hope that you will return!

Please be safe on your travels home.
